I paint flowers so that they will always be with me, a reminder that there is beauty in a moment and the importance of being present to appreciate simple pleasures

Many of life's most difficult problems can be solved with a cup of tea and even better a cup of tea with friends. As the weather cools there is no better tonic. Those who know me are familiar with the rituals around tea at my home and studio, and that the teacup is a most important vessel of delivery of said pleasure. I therefore believe the teacup deserves more reverence in life and art!

To thoughtfully go within, to discover what thrives amidst the remains and fragments, that are reassembled, altered, and evolved on this journey of humaness. I feel like this many layered face is the face of the tree bark, the face of a feral animal, the face of a flower and the face of a woman. She is everything all at once, serene, strong, thoughtful, beautiful and wild.
